of NEVER forgetting one's humble beginnings.   Early in 1995, Vinton's first
genre illustration appeared in Aberrations and he has been immersed in the genre
ever since.  Vinton has been a featured artist at New York ComicCon 2008, at
Granite State ComicCon, the Boston Comic Book Spectacular, Boston ComicCon,
BigAppleCon, and elsewhere.  His illustrations have appeared in Aberrations,

Everett Soares, the creator of Sky Pirates of Valendor, had been working on this concept for over 2 years, it truly did not come to life until he met Brian Brinlee, current penciler for the project. In December of 2006, the 2 were introduced. They started working on concept sketches and before they knew it, Everett's words came to life on Brian’s 11 x 17 art boards. In the process, Everett has also become versant on all things pirate and steampunk.

Four months and 8 pages later, they stumbled upon the chance of a lifetime, Small Press Idol. SPI is an American Idol-like competition for aspiring artists and creators. Everett entered the competition with work that he and Brian had done so far. What occurred over the following year was beyond any of their expectations!

Sky Pirates of Valendor finished the competition in 2nd Place. Shortly after the end of the competition, Free Lunch Comics extended an offer to publish Sky Pirates of Valendor, in a five-issue miniseries followed by a trade paperback that debuted in January 2010. Now fans have the opportunity to share in the joy and excitement of Sky Pirates of Valendor. Everett travels throughout the country promoting Sky Pirates. The entire team is very proud of their accomplishments and look forward to the future of Sky Pirates and their careers in the comic book industry.

Besides his work on Sky Pirates, Everett is stretching his writing skills through a variety of pending projects, working with a collection of very talented artists. Everett is an active member of the Comicbook Artists Guild and lives in Rhode Island with his wife and dog.

Artist and Writer George Burnett fell in love with the art of comics at an early age, but never seriously pursued the art form until recently. He started working on his sword-and-sorcery epic White Rose while commuting back and forth to his web designer job at an internet startup in Cambridge, MA. He got serious about the project while taking a class in comic illustration at Mass College of Art.

In 2009, on a sudden impulse, George entered White Rose in Small Press Idol, the American Idol-esque contest for amateur comics creators. Over the course of the contest, he had the pleasure of meeting and befriending alot of fellow creators, including the artists and writers from the Comicbook Artists' Guild, of which he is a proud member.

Through the support of fans and friends alike, White Rose finished 2nd place in SPI '09, in what turned into a very close race. The premiere issue was shipped in November 2009.

George is currently working on the story-arc and scripts for the first 6 issues of White Rose, as well as a few other projects. He now lives in Gloucester, MA in a house built in 1749, where he has started his own web design business and creates comics in every spare moment he can get. He shares his anceint domicile with his lovely fiancée and their menagerie of pets.

You can find George and the White Rose on Facebook, as well as at the links below.

(Artist - Spider-Man, Punisher, Deadpool)
I don't know if you know this, but I've been a comic book artist for 24 years, having worked for both Marvel and DC comics on the likes of The X Men, Spider-Man, to Batman and The Justice League. There are more than 425 comics that list my name in the credits and 7,000 pages that bear my ink lines on them.

I created the concepts for Banana Tail along with my dear old departed Dad more then 10 years ago.

Here we are 10+ years later with 2 books under my belt, a third in the works, a computer generated movie being created completely based on my first storybook and now an affiliation with the worlds largest bookseller, Barnes and Noble. Things are moving in the right direction for me. I've just reached the milestone of the 1 millionth hit on my website for the year, for the first time in the 3 years that I've had this site. I've received visits to Bananatail.com from countries like Iceland, Denmark, Japan and Romania and it boggles my mind that children from these countries might be familiar with Banana Tail.

As I said, things are moving in the right direction for me, but it's a slow arduous effort to get parents, teachers and even retailers to see Banana Tail the way that many kids and adults do. If you are a parent, retailer or a teacher and have visited this site with a child before and like what you see, please help me keep Banana Tail alive and fresh by reaching out to me. I make school appearances and will discuss traveling reasonable distances to make appearances. I offer a PTO fundraising effort with no appearance fee to the schools I visit and it ends up being a rewarding experience for everybody involved. If you are a retailer, I can discuss wholesale discounts and signed editions for your store to carry.

I will keep continuing to create Banana Tail stories and strive to move forward to make Banana Tail a household name. Its hard, but rewarding work. Thank all of you for your support!
(Artist/Inker/Creator - Banana Tail, Supergirl, Red Robin, Star Wars: Purge, Archie and Friends)
(Writer/Artist - Sgt. Rock; Creator - Shi)
A Fabulous lineup...Stay tuned!

Sara Richard
Ever since I was a wee nugget, art has been a huge part of my life. Now at the ripe old age of 24, I am currently working on solidifying a signature illustration style and working at Hasbro in the sculpting department.

I graduated from The Columbus College of Art & Design in May 2008 and landed a temp. position at Hasbro a few weeks later. My term was up in January 2008 and so I was thrust into the harsh wilderness that is freelancing. From that however, and between jobs from Hasbro, I began developing a style that incorporated my love of Art Nouveau and wildlife (mostly the extinct kind). It also opened up time for me to learn a little bit of hang-gliding too, which I think is an essential skill to have especially with no health insurance.

But now I'm back in Hasbro and meeting all sorts of awesome people who are really inspirational and helpful, thus opening up new opportunities for me to share my art with the world.

I love comics, toys, cartoons, anime, anything nerdy: I will devour it like a fat kid at IHOP. Cosplay is another one of my many geek-tacular activities. I'm a part of a cosplay team called Human Sushi with my two best friends, Abby and J'aimie (see our finer nerd-moments on the Youtube).

The little dinosaur thing I have can be summed up as this: "Dinosaurs are freaking cool." I've been asked about this interest of mine many times and it confuses my why people think a fancy for dinosaurs need to be something you have to grow out of. I think I actually grew into it since I've always considered "Jurassic Park" one of my favorite movies, I didn't actually become paleo-obsessed until senior year at CCAD.

A couple last tidbits be these: I'm heavily inspired by Japanese Ink Paintings (sumi-e) for their simplicity in composition, so much so that my signature is "Sara" in katakana (the Japanese alphabet system for foreign words and names.) and that I try to emulate the simplicity in my work. And also, I'm terrified of centipedes.
